How do you ship a new ROKON? After factory test and cleaning, a new ROKON is banded to a pallet, wrapped, boxed and shipped by common carrier. Shipments to the farthest points in the continental US take up to 6 business days. Upon receipt inspect for any damage and notate same on the bill of lading. Assembly consists of straightening and tightening the handlebars, reducing tire pressure and adding oil and fuel. Follow the instructions on the yellow card and in the manuals provided.

How do I store my ROKON? If you are putting your ROKON away for more than 4 weeks, shut off fuel to the carburetor and run the bike until it stops. Put fuel stabilizer in the fuel tank.

What are the key steps in maintaining my ROKON? Clean, lubricate and adjust chain for proper pitch and � inch tension. Use a clean air and fuel filter. Inspect bolts before each ride and tighten as necessary per the owners manual.

What can go wrong? Not much. However sometimes fuel will run through the carburetor into the engine block due to a stuck carberator float bowl. Remember to close the fuel shut off valve when not in use.

What can I do to improve performance at high altitudes? Purchase a high altitude carburetor jet.

Do Rokons really leave a track lighter than a man's foot print? There are many variables involved in calculating ground contact pressure, including vehicle weight, load, attitude, and contact patch size which includes the variables, tire size, tire stiffness, tire pressure, soil condition, and others. Here is an educated guestimate:

       Force downward: rider, 200# + vehicle, 200 =   400lbs
       Contact patch size at 3psi inflation pressure: 6 x 8 x 2 tires=.    96in sq

       Ground contact pressure: F/Area=400lb/96in sq=                       4 psi

By comparison, the 200lb man when on one foot, which he would be while striding forward, might have a contact patch of 32 in sq, depending on his shoe size, for a ground contact pressure of 6psi.

The Rokon has the advantage of smoothly applied, low power, all wheel traction. They have historically been considered environmentally friendly, and have been used by the Forest Service and other government agencies for trail use.

Older Model ROKONs:

1.	Can I get parts? Yes we have parts for all ROKONs. Call 1-800-593-2369 to order. Rokon Parts Price List
2.	Can I replace my Chrysler two stroke with the Honda or Kohler engine? No. The frame of the four stroke ROKONs are completely different than previous ROKON frames. The 4 stroke engine is much larger and the gearing is different. A replacement of the Chrysler engine with the Honda or Kohler engine is not safe nor practical.
3.	Can I put a new two stroke engine in a 1970 ROKON Trail-Breaker? Yes. The new engine comes with built in magneto to run lights and waterproof solid state ignition instead of points and condenser.
4.	What is my old Trail-Breaker worth? Re-sales of old Trail-Breakers are somewhat rare. However the Kelly Blue Book and the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Guide for Motorcycles lists values for older ROKONs. Most older units are still running and their value lies more in using them than in collection. A recent sale of a mint condition 1969 model went for $4275 on Ebay in January 04.
5.	What is the mixture of gas and oil in an old Trail-Breaker? The original manufacturer specifications for a ROKON called for 25 parts gasoline and 1 part 2 cycle oil. With the advent of high grade synthetics, the new oils can mix 30 to 1.
6.	I will be operating my 2 stroke ROKON above 10,000 ft. Do you have any special advice? Use super unleaded fuel and adjust the carburetor for a leaner burn.
7.	What is the correct spark plug for the 2 stroke Chrysler engine? Champion L-90-C. Accept no substitutes.
8.	What is the best way to begin learning about this old ROKON I just bought? Purchase a copy of the owners, illustrated parts and engine manuals. Call 1-800-593-2369 to order.
9.	Where can I find a good used ROKON? Sometimes the factory has one, though not that often. Call us to check at 1-800-593-2369. The best source is Walneck's, the classic cycle trader magazine. This publication is usually found at magazine stores. Some used models have also been auctioned on EBay and Craig's List.
10.	How can I quiet down my 1970 Trail-Breaker? Install a set of Boyesen reeds in the carburetor and replace the exhaust system with a newer styled tuned muffler. Or, buy a current model four stroke ROKON, the quietest gas powered all terrain vehicles on the planet.
11.	The most popular retrofit kits for Rokons are the hydraulic brake kit, PN 108956, for $375 and the Autograb Front Suspension kit, PN 108303KIT (1984 to present), for $550.
